MONOCHROME

SO, IT'S TIME TO TRY MY HAND AT SHOOTING MONOCHROME. I HAD SO MUCH FUN LOOKING FOR MATCHING OBJECTS, FINDING MYSELF ATTRACTED TO PASTEL PINK ALL OF A SUDDEN. A FEW TRIPS TO THE LOCAL ANTIQUE OUTLETS MADE ME HAPPY, WHICH AIDED ME IN MY SEARCH.

I SURE DID ENJOY SHOOTING THIS ONE. MY MODEL, GRACE, WAS FANTASTIC TO WORK WITH. I STRUGGLED IN POST TO GET THE BACKGROUND UNIFORM IN TERMS OF COLOUR TONES. STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS I THINK, BUT I AM HAPPY WITH THE SHOTS THEMSELVES. I SHOT ABOUT 230 FRAMES. LOTS TO HAVE FUN WITH LATER.

I WANTED TO DESATURATE THESE IN POST TO GIVE THEM A PALER LOOK SO THEY APPEAR MORE VINTAGE.

CAN'T WAIT TO DO MY NEXT MONOCHROME AND HUNT FOR MORE OBJECTS IN THE ANTIQUE STORE. ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PLACES TO FIND INSPIRATION. SO MANY STORIES AND YEARS OF HISTORY IN ONE PLACE.

JUST FOR FUN, MY PROPS AS A BUBBLE GUM OIL PAINTING!

BEHIND THE SCENES WITH ALL THE PROPS READY TO GO AT THE STUDIO AT GEORGIAN COLLEGE, BARRIE, ON.
